Boron Chemistry

We currently develop methodologies for the synthesis of boron containing derivatives. In all our methodologies, scale up possibilities and easy purification are key components in order to make those method amenable to any chemist. We are interested mostly in creating practical and efficient preparation of boron derivatives using simple reagents. We now have several air and moisture stable derivatives in hand for borylation reactions, either using classical addition of organometallics (R-Li, RMgX), via transition metal catalyzed reaction, or using novel metal borylation methods. The goal is to have methods amenable to larger scale processes in batch or flow chemistry. On the fundamental side, our main interest in Boron Chemistry is using the huge range of reactivity displayed by various boron derivatives to design original C-B bond forming reactions.
